I don’t just take photos, I capture how a moment feels, how light moves, and how people connect to place and time.

I didn’t grow up with a camera in my hand. I found photography later in life, after years in a more conventional career. What started as a creative spark quickly became a calling, one that’s taken me across cities, landscapes, and communities, capturing stories and moments that matter. Today, I’m based in Calgary with my wife and son, where our life is full of creativity, curiosity, and connection. This journey has changed not just how I see the world, but how I share it.
I picked up a camera later in life. What started as a spark became a calling, leading me to people, places, and moments I never imagined.

My Story

Chasing Light, Finding Meaning.

I didn’t grow up dreaming of being a photographer. In fact, for much of my early adult life, I followed a more traditional path, working in offices, chasing stability, and living the kind of life that made sense on paper. But something was missing. Then one day, I picked up a camera—not with any grand plan, but out of curiosity. That single moment lit a spark, and everything began to shift.   At first, photography was just a hobby. I photographed my city, my travels, the people around me. But the more I shot, the more I realized that this wasn’t just something I enjoyed, it was something I needed to do. I poured myself into learning, teaching myself how to see light, capture emotion, and tell stories through images. Before long, I left the safety of a regular job behind and stepped fully into this new creative life.   Since then, photography has taken me to places I never imagined. I’ve captured events, landscapes, portraits, wildlife, and the quiet in-between moments that often say the most. I’ve led guided tours through the Rockies, the prairies, and across the world, helping others connect with their surroundings and their creativity in new and meaningful ways.   One of the most unexpected and rewarding parts of this journey has been teaching. Sharing what I’ve learned with others has deepened my own understanding and made me a better photographer. But more than that, it’s reminded me why I fell in love with this craft in the first place. Watching someone go from frustrated to confident, from hesitant to inspired—it’s powerful. And it has taught me that photography isn’t just about seeing, it’s about showing others how to see.   I live in Calgary with my incredible wife and our son. They’re my constant source of inspiration, grounding, and joy. Our life is full of inspiration, laughter, learning, and adventure. The support of my family has made this journey possible, and it continues to shape the way I move through the world.   For me, photography isn’t just about images. It’s about paying attention, about slowing down enough to notice something beautiful, fleeting, or real. It’s about connecting with people, with places, and with the stories that live between them. That’s what I try to do with every click of the shutter, and it’s what I hope to share with anyone who steps into this work with me.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients across industries—from major corporations and public institutions to arts organizations, tourism boards, and media partners. Each collaboration has been an opportunity to tell meaningful stories through imagery, and I’m proud to have contributed to projects that reflect creativity, connection, and purpose.
